Job Overview
Job Duties:
- Identifies and recruits potential student athletes in accordance with NCAA regulations and academic standards, as well as University academic requirements.
- Assist in coordination and management of all aspects of on-court skill instruction and player development.
- Monitors student athletes’ progress and implement strategies to ensure academic and athletic success.
- Performs administrative duties such as travel, fundraising and camp/clinic coordination.
- Assists the Head Coach with game management duties
- Assist in the planning and implementation of game plans for each game, including development of scouting reports of opponents.
- Perform duties with professional conduct, being fiscally responsible and with a commitment to student-athlete well-being.
- Support and work cooperatively with Sports Medicine, Strength and Conditioning, Compliance, Media Relations etc.
- Maintains sensitivity, understanding, and respect for a diverse academic environment, inclusive of students, faculty and staff of varying social, economic, cultural, ideological, and ethnic backgrounds.
- Bachelor’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution.
- Collegiate men’s basketball playing or coaching experience is required.
- Successful criminal background check is required.
