Job Overview
Reporting to the Holekamp Family Director of Strength & Conditioning for Olympic Sports, the successful candidate will collaborate seamlessly with Dartmouth Peak Performance (DP2), leveraging interdisciplinary expertise to provide holistic support for student-athletes’ health, wellness, and development—empowering them to excel both on and off the field. The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A bachelor’s or graduate degree in a relevant field.
  • Certification through the NSCA (CSCS) or CSCCa (SCCC).
  • A minimum of three (3) years of relevant NCAA D1, pro, or Olympic experience.
  • Strong interest in NCAA ice hockey.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
  • Effective leadership ability and strong communication skills, both oral and written. Enthusiastic and creative motivational ability. Demonstrated learning orientation in the area of sports performance training and protocols.
  • Proficient in teaching Olympic movements, speed and acceleration techniques, change of direction, flexibility techniques and specific conditioning for male and female varsity sport teams.
  • Prior experience in designing training and reconditioning programs for injured athletes.
  • Demonstrate a knowledge base in various aspects of nutrition.
  • Proficient computer skills with a major emphasis on Excel spreadsheets.
  • Commitment to diversity and to serving the needs of a diverse population.
  • Minimum of three years experience working with male and female athletes at the collegiate level, including football athletes.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in exercise science or a related field.
  • Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (C.S.C.S.) by NSCA, First Aid and CPR certification preferred.
