Job Overview
Qualifications:
- Candidates will be required to demonstrate strong organizational skills, effective communication skills with students, and other coaches.
- Strong candidates will have a thorough understanding of the skills and techniques for tennis.
- Candidates should support the mission of SPA and be able to support/contribute to student athlete life outside athletics.
- Creating a positive environment that promotes good sportsmanship towards opponents, spectators, and teammates.
- Assist with instruction of players in rules, regulations, skills, and strategy of tennis.
- Collaborate with the Head Varsity coach to create organized and effective practices that progress throughout the season.
- Organize and directs individual and small group practice activities.
- Provide effective supervision and evaluation of all athletes during practice and competition
- Tracking student-athlete progress.
- Follow established protocol in the event of an injury.
- Participate in special activities to include parent’s night, banquets, and award ceremonies.
- Participate as a positive team member in the development and support of excellence within the Athletic Department.
