Job Overview
Responsibilities:
  • Cultivate a welcoming and competitively minded performance teaching and training environment to support student athlete holistic health, safety and success.
  • Inspire competitive excellence by encouraging and developing emotional and mental resilience.
  • Design and lead year-round, periodized strength and conditioning programs and activities for assigned sports.
  • Effectively instruct and motivate participants on safe and proper execution of lifts, drills, exercises, and/or movement patterns to enhance athletic skill, ability and capacity.
  • Plan and manage team and individual testing and analyze testing results and biometric markers for practical application.
  • Maintain continuous communication with assigned head coaches to ensure that the training program outcomes support team objectives and priorities
  • Provide head coaches with analysis of biometric data and performance indicators to improve individual performance and team outcomes and for modifications to training, practice and competition plans.
  • Actively collaborate with sports medicine personnel to provide holistic care, including injury prevention and exercise modification strategies. Play active role in the reconditioning of student-athletes returning to activity from injury.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required. Two years related experience at the NCAA Division I level or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
  • Current National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist Certification (CSCS) or Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCa) Strength & Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC) certification required at time of hire. Current adult CPR/First Aid/AED certification is also required at time of hire.
