Job Overview
St. Lawrence University is now accepting applications for the coordinator of hockey operations. This is a full-time, 10-month, position. The director of hockey ops will be responsible for coordinating the operational aspect of men’s and women’s hockey including video operations, on-ice duties per NCAA rules and regulations, other administrative duties as assigned. Primary Responsibilities:
  • Communicate with hockey operations platforms to maintain and upgrade servers/computers and for high-working efficiencies.
  • Research, select and provide pre-scout video clips of opponents during pre-game team meetings to identify strengths & weaknesses of the opponent.
  • Breakdown of daily practice video for team/individual performance improvement.
  • Assure compliance with NCAA/ECAC rules regarding video exchange.
  • Hire, train and supervise hockey programs internal video camera operators for all home games and practices.
  • Prepare ice for practices: identifies and secures needed equipment & resources.
  • Administer alumni, recruits and roster platforms.
  • Work with coaching staff for coordinating and logging academic, athletic and team schedules.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Hockey operations/video coordinator experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability in the use of various software in the industry.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with faculty/staff, University community members and alumni.
  • Knowledge of all NCAA and ECAC rules & regulations pertaining to DI M & W hockey preferred.
  • Must have a philosophy compatible with highly selective academic standards within a Liberal Arts University and the mission of St. Lawrence University.
