The Junior Varsity Golf Coach will be responsible for developing and managing the JV golf program, fostering a positive and competitive environment for student-athletes while enhancing their skills and sportsmanship. Key Responsibilities:

• Schedule and conduct JV golf practices and competitions, including organizing match logistics, completing paperwork, and working with local golf courses.
• Ensure the safety of all participants during practices and competitions, including lightning, air quality, heat, and hydration protocols.
• Develop practice plans focusing on skill development, strategy, and teamwork.
• Teach fundamentals of the game, including swing mechanics, short game, and course management.
• Monitor and evaluate student-athlete performance, providing constructive feedback and encouragement.
• Promote a culture of sportsmanship, respect, and inclusivity among team members.
• Communicate regularly with players, parents, and school administration regarding schedules, events, and team progress.
• Assist in the recruitment and retention of players to ensure a strong program.

Qualifications:

• Previous coaching experience or competitive experience in golf preferred.
• All required BPS coaching certifications
• Strong knowledge of golf rules, techniques, and strategies.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to motivate and inspire young golfers.
