Job Overview
Qualifications:
  • Attend the free Unified Sports Track and Field Coaches’ training and complete the free 90-minute course via the Special.
  • Olympics of Massachusetts (SOMA)
  • Special Educator license preferred.
  • Three years working in the field of special education.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the administration of the High Schools’ Unified Track and Field team which is a MIAA team sport comprised of athletes and peer partners with support from the Special Education Coordinator of Developmental Programs.
  • Meet regularly with Coordinator of Developmental Programs and SOMA to ensure quality program standards are being met and policies followed
  • Organize and lead all practice sessions and meets both home and away.
  • Recruit students with intellectual disabilities and autism and neurotypical peers.
  • Coordinate transportation for away meets.
