Job Overview
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Serve as Head Women’s Ice Hockey Coach for the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) Division 1 team. This position reports to the Director of Athletics.
  • Plan, organize, recruit and develop the Women's Ice Hockey programs.
  • Other responsibilities include but are not limited to academic oversight, fundraising, and coordinating camps and coaching clinics.
  • Coach the Women’s Ice Hockey Division I team in game competition in the ACHA. Direct daily practice during the prescribed season.
  • Oversee hockey program, responsible for the development of the ACHA Division 1 team.
  • Supervise Assistant Coaches.
  • Recruit prospective student-athletes.
  • Lead team travel.
  • Responsible for team equipment checkout and return.
  • Construct competition schedule with approval of the Director of Athletics.
  • Assist with academic monitoring of student-athletes.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Degree in Sports Management, Physical Education, Education, Fitness or related program is preferred.
  • One year ice hockey coaching experience required at the professional, college or high school level.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to use personal vehicle to drive on behalf of the University.
  • Must meet the Minimum Driver Qualifications as defined by the Use of Vehicles for University Business Policy.
  • Must have strong team building/management skills.
  • Ability to work across academic and administrative departments in a cooperative manner; strong written and verbal communication skills.
