Job Overview
Greenland School District is seeking a dedicated, dynamic, and experienced Head Football Coach to lead our high school football program. The ideal candidate will be a motivated leader with a passion for developing student-athletes both on and off the field. The Head Football Coach will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the football program, including coaching, managing assistant coaches, and fostering a positive, inclusive team culture along with other duties and teaching content as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily practices, game-day preparation, and overall team management.
- Provide strong leadership and guidance for student-athletes in both athletic and academic settings.
- Work closely with the Athletic Director, school administration, and other staff members to ensure program success.
- Organize and supervise team events, including pre-season conditioning, training camps, and competitions.
- Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and discipline within all sports programs.
- Encourage academic success for student-athletes and ensure compliance with district policies and state regulations.
- Communicate regularly with players, parents, and school staff to ensure the continued success of the program.
- Previous experience as a Head Coach or Assistant Coach at the high school or collegiate level is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership ability with a track record of success in coaching football.
- Knowledge of current football trends, strategies, and techniques.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes to perform at their best academically and athletically.
- Valid Arkansas coaching certification or ability to obtain upon hire.
- Must be willing to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required for practices and games.
