Job Overview
Responsibilities:
- Work within the university mission to provide a competitive, unique, and memorable collegiate athletic experience for student-athletes.
- Instruct and observe student-athletes in individual and team skills.
- Recruit academically and athletically qualified student-athletes within the scope of MIAC, NCAA, and university guidelines as well as reaching annual recruiting goals.
- Monitor team and individual academic success and degree completion.
- Maintain a program compliant with NCAA, MIAC, and university rules and guidelines.
- Build, develop, and maintain contacts and relations with athletic alumni, high school and club coaches and benefactors.
- Partner with the development office to raise funds for the program in conjunction with university, department, MIAC, NCAA guidelines.
- Oversee all necessary administrative responsibilities for the program including budget management and prompt submissions of expenses.
- Bachelor’s Degree, required.
- Master’s Degree, preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience coaching men’s basketball in a high school or college setting.
- May consider other acceptable equivalent combinations of training and experience.
