QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have or obtain a valid First Aid card.
- Good human relations and interpersonal skills.
- Complete WIAA/WOA Rules Clinic for high school varsity head coach.
- Prior coaching experience required.
- Demonstrate leadership abilities.
- Possess a strong value system that aligns with the Districts Core Covenants of Respect, Integrity and Commitment.
- Ability to work effectively with others: players, parents, teachers, administrators, patrons, and assistants.
- Ability to motivate others.
- Ability to effectively communicate with all audiences.
- Ability to build and promote a program.
- Dedicated and committed to coaching and knows the value of winning.
- Adheres to the rules, regulations, and policies of the WIAA.
- Develop a good rapport with parents, patrons, news media, assistants, teachers and administrators.
- Work with other staff to assist athletes in maintaining eligibility.
- Responsible for the conduct and well-being of players and assigns proper supervision of players.
- Supervise assistant coaches and assign duties to them.
