Job Overview
The head girls softball coach is responsible for leading and managing the girls' softball program at Columbus Catholic High School. This individual will play a key role in developing players' skills, fostering a positive team culture, and promoting sportsmanship. Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement effective training programs to enhance players' softball skills.
  • Provide individualized coaching to players, addressing technical aspects of their game.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and dedication to excellence.
  • Plan and organize team practices, ensuring a balance of skill development, fitness, and strategy.
  • Manage player rosters, ensuring fair playing time and appropriate team dynamics.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and strategies.
  • Coordinate the team's participation in competitions, tournaments, and matches.
  • Develop and implement game strategies based on the strengths and weaknesses of the team and opponents.
  • Collaborate with the Athletic Director to create a competitive and balanced schedule.
Qualifications:
  • Active coaching license or able to obtain one by the start of the season Previous coaching experience, preferably in softball.
  • Extensive knowledge of the rules and techniques of softball.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire athletes.
  • Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive team culture. Knowledge of high school athletic regulations and compliance.
