Job Overview
The Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating and treating patients based on findings, completing documentation in a timely manner, communicating with physicians and other members of the medical team, and supervising therapist assistants and aides in direct patient care and related activities. Qualifications and Experience:
  • Graduate of an accredited PT School.
  • State of North Carolina Therapy License Required.
  • Current CPR Certification.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and demands.
  • Comfortable using email, internet applications, and practice management software.
  • Strong customer orientation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
  • Conducts evaluations including reviewing patients’ medical histories, testing and measuring strength, range of motion, balance and coordination, posture, muscle performance, respiration, and motor function.
  • Prepares treatment plans describing a strategy, purpose, goals, and anticipated outcome.
  • Administers manual techniques and applies modalities/physical agents.
  • Evaluates effects of treatment at various stages and adjusts treatments to achieve maximum benefit conferring with physician and other practitioners when appropriate.
  • Teaches patients to use assistive and adaptive devices. Instruct patients on at-home exercises.
  • Records evaluations, daily treatment notes, progress notes, discharge, summaries, and charges timely, legibly, and in compliance with applicable requirements.
  • Assist with business and administrative facets of the practice as deemed necessary by the manager including marketing activities.
  • Maintains confidentiality of patient information.
