RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and deliver comprehensive skill development sessions for Men’s Ice Hockey, including individualized instruction and small group training.
- Leverage video analysis tools to enhance player performance and deepen tactical understanding.
- Actively participate in on-ice coaching during practices, working closely with the Head Coach to implement strategic plans.
- Monitor and support the academic progress of student-athletes, promoting a culture of academic excellence.
- Foster leadership, accountability, and core values within the team, helping student-athletes grow as individuals and teammates.
- Ensure full compliance with NAIA, ACHA, University, and departmental policies and regulations.
- Assist in all facets of team operations, including recruiting, scouting, travel coordination, game-day coaching, and community engagement.
- Collaborate on team fundraising efforts and contribute to broader departmental advancement initiatives.
- Support the planning and execution of team camps, clinics, and outreach events.
- Pursue ongoing professional development through memberships, certifications, and coaching education opportunities.
- Serve on university and departmental committees as assigned, contributing to the broader mission of the athletics department.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field required, such as Exercise Science, Sports Management, Sociology, Psychology or Business.
- Experience playing the associated sport required.
- Experience in athletic coaching preferred.
