Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree.
2. Solid work ethic along with strong motivational, coaching, teaching and communication skills.
3. The ability to travel extensively during the recruiting process.
4. Prior softball coaching experience or playing experience, preferably at the intercollegiate Division 1 level.
5. Extensive knowledge of the sport of softball.
6. Knowledge and experience working with NCAA rules and regulations.
7. Knowledge and experience with data analysis in softball – (synergy, Trackman, Rapsodo, Flight scope)
8. Candidates are expected to be committed to multiculturalism and working with a diverse student body.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Assist the Head Coach in developing and maintaining a high-level intercollegiate softball program.
2. Instruct and develop student-athletes in the technical and tactical aspects of the game, with a primary focus on defense and hitting.
3. Participate in practice planning, skill development sessions, and opponent scouting.
4. Support game preparation, strategy implementation, and in-game coaching.
5. Assist in managing administrative duties, including team travel logistics, event planning, and operational needs.
6. Help monitor academic progress and overall welfare of student-athletes.
