Saint Anselm College, a private liberal arts college in the Benedictine tradition, is seeking a part-time Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach will report to the Head Women’s Soccer Coach and provide coaching expertise, leadership, management and administration of all aspects of a competitive NCAA program resulting in a positive and beneficial intercollegiate experience for student-athletes. The successful candidate will place highest priority on academic integrity and a commitment to student-athlete success on the field and in the classroom.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Provide coaching, teaching and skill instruction in consultation with head coach. This will include drills, film/video breakdown and fundamental techniques and individual training.
2. Assist in the organization and supervision of practices and contests.
3. Assist with implementing a successful recruiting program to attract outstanding student-athletes.
4. Maintain standards of performance consistent with departmental academic and athletic expectation as reflected in the college’s mission statement, goals, objectives, departmental guidelines, and performance appraisal procedures.
5. Assist with coordinating all aspects of the program compliant with the rules, regulation, and procedures of the NCAA, conference, department, or college policies.
6. Maintain appropriate, effective relationships with parents, alumni, friends of the program and others towards the positive image and promotion of the team, department, and college.
7. Represent the college at professional meetings, alumni gatherings, campus activities and civic affairs as requested by the head coach or athletic administration.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
2. NCAA compliance background check.
3. Successful completion of annual coaches’ exam per NCAA guidelines.
4. Successful completion of first aid, CPR and AED certifications.
