Saint Anselm College, a private liberal arts college in the Benedictine tradition, is seeking a part-time Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach will report to the Head Women’s Soccer Coach and provide coaching expertise, leadership, management and administration of all aspects of a competitive NCAA program resulting in a positive and beneficial intercollegiate experience for student-athletes. The successful candidate will place highest priority on academic integrity and a commitment to student-athlete success on the field and in the classroom.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide coaching, teaching and skill instruction in consultation with head coach. This will include drills, film/video breakdown and fundamental techniques and individual training.
- Assist in the organization and supervision of practices and contests.
- Assist with implementing a successful recruiting program to attract outstanding student-athletes.
- Maintain standards of performance consistent with departmental academic and athletic expectation as reflected in the college’s mission statement, goals, objectives, departmental guidelines, and performance appraisal procedures.
- Assist with coordinating all aspects of the program compliant with the rules, regulation, and procedures of the NCAA, conference, department, or college policies.
- Maintain appropriate, effective relationships with parents, alumni, friends of the program and others towards the positive image and promotion of the team, department, and college.
- Represent the college at professional meetings, alumni gatherings, campus activities and civic affairs as requested by the head coach or athletic administration.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- NCAA compliance background check.
- Successful completion of annual coaches’ exam per NCAA guidelines.
- Successful completion of first aid, CPR and AED certifications.
