The head coach interacts directly with coaches, parents and student-athletes as a representative of Christian Academy. He/she is to live and coach in such a way so that student-athletes are led to righteousness in every area of life, and in particular their athletic development.

Qualifications:

1. A strong clear Christian testimony with a mature and godly spirit that exhibits continued growth in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
2. Agreement with our staff commitment to live and exemplify the highest Christian virtue both in and out of school.
3. Commitment to faithful attendance and support of a church whose beliefs are in agreement with the Statement of Faith.
4. A strong work ethic and effective interpersonal relationship-building skills.
5. Agreement and belief that The Bible is the final authority concerning truth, morality, and the proper conduct of mankind.

Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

1. He/she will coach from a biblical perspective and strive to be a true reflection of Jesus Christ to our athletes.
2. Coach will create a winning environment by displaying a positive attitude and providing daily encouragement to those under his/her leadership helping to build strong relationships.
3. Teaches athletes to perform sound, safe fundamental techniques of the designated sport throughout the season.
4. Coach will promote honesty, integrity, humility, loyalty, unity, and encourage total character development of our athletes.
5. Complete all assigned duties as given by the Director of Athletics.
6. Oversee field/gym conditions.
7. Complete inventory of equipment and uniforms and store properly.
8. Attend meetings with assistant coaches to ensure continuity of the program.
9. Provide support for gate admission/scorebook for all home games within your sport.
