Job Overview

Emory & Henry College, a member of the NCAA Division II and the South Atlantic Conference, invites applications for the position of Head Women’s Wrestling Coach. This full-time position is responsible for organizing and managing all aspects of the women’s wrestling program, including but not limited to: recruitment, training, coaching, academic oversight, budget management, and program promotion in alignment with the mission and values of Emory & Henry University.

Primary Responsibilities:


  1. Lead and oversee all aspects of the women’s wrestling program, including practice planning, game preparation, and in-match coaching.
  2. Recruit and retain academically and athletically qualified student-athletes.
  3. Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes academic excellence, personal growth, and athletic achievement.
  4. Ensure compliance with NCAA Division II, South Atlantic Conference, and university rules and regulations.
  5. Coordinate and supervise assistant coaches, graduate assistants, and support staff.
  6. Manage the program’s operational budget responsibly and effectively.
  7. Organize team travel, scheduling, and logistics.
  8. Promote the program through community engagement, alumni relations, and campus involvement.
  9. Monitor student-athletes’ academic progress and support them in achieving educational goals.

Qualifications:


  1. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  2. Demonstrated success and experience in wrestling coaching at the collegiate or high school level.
  3. Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
  4. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  5. A commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in athletics.
