Emory & Henry College, a member of the NCAA Division II and the South Atlantic Conference, invites applications for the position of Head Women’s Wrestling Coach. This full-time position is responsible for organizing and managing all aspects of the women’s wrestling program, including but not limited to: recruitment, training, coaching, academic oversight, budget management, and program promotion in alignment with the mission and values of Emory & Henry University.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee all aspects of the women’s wrestling program, including practice planning, game preparation, and in-match coaching.
- Recruit and retain academically and athletically qualified student-athletes.
- Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes academic excellence, personal growth, and athletic achievement.
- Ensure compliance with NCAA Division II, South Atlantic Conference, and university rules and regulations.
- Coordinate and supervise assistant coaches, graduate assistants, and support staff.
- Manage the program’s operational budget responsibly and effectively.
- Organize team travel, scheduling, and logistics.
- Promote the program through community engagement, alumni relations, and campus involvement.
- Monitor student-athletes’ academic progress and support them in achieving educational goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Demonstrated success and experience in wrestling coaching at the collegiate or high school level.
- Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- A commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in athletics.
