Job Overview

The University of Evansville, a member of the Missouri Valley Conference, invites applications for the position of Part-Time Assistant Baseball Coach. This position will support the baseball program in all aspects of operating a competitive NCAA Division I program.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist with the recruitment and retention of academically and athletically qualified student-athletes.
  2. Develop strong relationships with student-athletes, faculty, staff, and the broader UE community.
  3. Coordinate film exchange, video editing, and statistical analysis.
  4. Assist with practice planning, game-day coaching, and player development.
  5. Support travel logistics and other operational aspects of team management.
  6. Aid in the planning and execution of camps, clinics, and community service activities.
  7. Contribute to the program’s marketing, promotions, and social media efforts.
  8. Help ensure adherence to University, NCAA, and Missouri Valley Conference regulations.
  9. Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach.

Qualifications:

  1. College and/or professional playing or coaching experience preferred.
  2. Strong understanding of baseball fundamentals and rules.
  3. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  4. Ability to work collaboratively with coaching staff, student-athletes, and administrative departments.
  5. Must possess or be able to obtain current First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
  6. Availability for evening, weekend, and travel commitments as required.
