Job Overview

The Oakland University Assistant Baseball Coach is responsible for assisting the Head Coach in developing an NCAA Division I baseball program for student-athletes, within the rules and policies of the Horizon League Conference, the NCAA legislated guidelines and the University’s policies and guidelines. The Assistant Coach must also assist in the training and development of the team/players on and off the field; liaison for academics and other departments on campus; assist with travel arrangements and ordering of equipment.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. Minimum 2 years’ of collegiate head/assistant baseball coaching experience.
  3. A demonstrated ability to recruit top Division I student-athletes.
  4. Experience with NCAA Division I Rules and Regulations.
  5. Excellent organizational, communication and leadership skills.
  6. Experience in fund raising efforts and events.
