Job Overview

The Assistant Coach will assist the Head Coach of Baseball in all phases of the Baseball Program. This includes recruiting, player development, video analysis, coaching, and administrative duties such as maintaining logs and other compliance information. The Assistant Coach will be responsible for maintaining professional conduct, positive sportsmanship and acting as a role model for the student-athletes. The candidate must demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills and must be able to work effectively with staff, faculty and other members of the University.

Education and Experience:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree, required.
  2. 2-4 years coaching experience with a competitive club, high school or collegiate program; prior collegiate coaching and recruiting experience preferred (and/or a combination of coaching and competitive playing experience).
  3. Competitive collegiate and/or international playing experience, preferred.
  4. Prior experience coaching pitchers, preferred.

  1. Ability to recruit within NCAA and Ivy League Rules.
  2. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication and computer skills, necessary.
  3. Demonstrated ability to work with and relate well to students.
  4. Excellent sport-specific technical, tactical and strategic knowledge.
  5. Possess a willingness and ability to support a diverse and inclusive environment.
  6. Basic proficiency with Excel, Word, internet and email.
  7. Social media experience, helpful.
  8. Prior experience with video software, helpful.
