The Coach is responsible for providing leadership, instruction, and mentorship to student-athletes, fostering athletic development, teamwork, sportsmanship, personal growth, and spiritual growth consistent with the school's religious mission. This role involves significant interaction with students, parents, and athletic staff to maintain a positive, competitive, inclusive, and faith-centered team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and conduct practices and training sessions effectively.
- Teach sportspecific skills, strategies, rules, and teamwork principles.
- Develop game plans and manage gameday strategies.
- Provide constructive feedback to improve individual and team performance.
- Manage athlete rosters and monitor attendance and participation.
- Maintain discipline, sportsmanship, and a respectful environment.
- Ensure studentathletes adhere to eligibility requirements.
Qualifications:
- Previous coaching experience or extensive knowledge of the specified sport.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Commitment to fostering spiritual growth consistent with the school's religious mission.
