Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Provides strong leadership for assistants and athletes in the program.
2. Advises the activities director and recommends policy, method or procedural changes.
3. Provides proper safeguards for maintenance and protection of assigned equipment sites.
4. Assists the athletic director in scheduling, providing transportation, and requirements for tournaments and special sport events.
5. Provides documentation to fulfill state and system requirements concerning physical examinations, parental consent and eligibility.
6. Maintain discipline, adjusts grievances, and works to increase morale and cooperation.
7. Delegates specific duties, supervises implementation, and at season’s end, analyze staff effectiveness and evaluates all assistants.
8. Established the fundamental philosophy, skills and techniques to be taught by staff.
9. Designs conferences, clinics and staff meetings to insure staff awareness of over-all program.
10. Trains and informs staff and encourages professional growth by encouraging clinic attendance according to local clinic policy.
11. Presents information to news media concerning schedules, tournaments and results.

Qualifications:

1. High School diploma or GED.
2. Current NM Coaching license including CPR/AED Certification.
3. Valid Driver’s license and Car Insurance.
4. Ability to drive from site to site as needed.
