Fulfills the mission of Norwich University by coaching and administering the Men's Golf program and by supporting the Head Men's Hockey Coach in the overall administration of the Men's Hockey program.

Essential Functions:

1. Organizes and implements practice plans and game management systems.
2. As head coach, hires, supervises, mentors, and evaluates assistant coaches.
3. Assists in scheduling league and non-league contests and scrimmages.
4. Works with Head Men's and Women's hockey coaches to provide practice sessions, instruction, guidance, film review, and other support as needed for goalies on both teams.
5. Makes all team related travel and lodging arrangements. Ensures proper conduct of team members at all times while representing Norwich during team travel.
6. Assists the equipment manager with the selection and purchase of equipment, uniforms, and apparel. Follows guidelines and requirements regarding authorized use of university and department logos and mark, along with equipment safety requirements.
7. Communicates with athletic training staff regarding student-athlete injuries. Follows direction provided by athletic trainers regarding athletes' ability to practice or compete and supports rehab and return to play activities and timelines.
8. Demonstrates proper sideline decorum, models good sportsmanship, and maintains positive relationships with officials/referees, assignors.

Requirements:

1. A bachelor's degree is required; a master's degree in a related field is preferred.
2. At least 3 years of relevant coaching experience, 5 years is preferred.
3. Coaching experience in a collegiate environment is preferred.
4. Collegiate playing experience in golf and hockey is strongly desired.
5. Must be knowledgeable of all NCAA and conference rules and regulations.
6. Experience in speaking with small and large groups.
7. Experience with fundraising activities preferred.
8. AED, CPR, and First Aid certification and NCAA Rules Test is required.
9. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, and Outlook). Experience with Banner, Argos, and Slate of similar software preferred.
