Job Overview

Principal Accountabilities:

  1. Effectively assisting in coaching a competitive men’s lacrosse program in a manner which promotions sportsmanship among athletes, ensuring compliance with all NCAA, America East and institutional rules and regulations.
  2. Effectively assist in recruiting qualified student athletes and effectively promoting Bryant University academic and athletic programs to potential students.
  3. Ensuring players associated with the men’s lacrosse program are eligible under NCAA and America East regulations.
  4. Assisting the head coach in developing and implementing clinics, summer camps, and effectively monitoring student athlete academic progress, referring or counseling where appropriate, and motivating the student athlete.
  5. Establishing and maintaining good personal relationships with student athletes, parents, staff, guidance counselors, the community and the media.

Qualifications:

  1. This position is best filled by an individual who has experience in the sport of lacrosse. Undergraduate degree required.
  2. Ability to identify and recruit outstanding student-athletes is required.
  3.  Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
  4. The ability to manage multiple tasks is essential.
  5. Knowledge of computer applications is important.
  6. A valid driver’s license is required for travel.
  7. This position has non-standard hours.
  8. This position is subject to the successful completion of a criminal background check and division of motor vehicles check.
