Middlesex County STEM Charter School (MCSCS) is a public school serving grades Kindergarten through 8th grades and open to all students who reside in the City of Perth Amboy. The school is free to all students and families and is a replication of the Central Jersey College Prep Charter School, a recipient of the 2016 Blue-Ribbon Award and other prestigious awards.

Responsibilities:

1. Delivering a comprehensive physical education program that promotes fitness, health, and well-being among the students.
2. Create engaging lesson plans, foster a positive learning environment, and assess the progress.
3. Develop and implement age appropriate physical education lesson plans that promote physical fitness, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles.
4. Evaluate student progress in physical skills, fitness levels, and provide constructive feedback.
5. Establish and maintain standards of student behavior to ensure a productive and respectful learning environment during physical activities.
6. Promote safety and wellness by adhering to established protocols, including CPR/AED certification.
7. Ensure that all activities are conducted safely and that students understand the importance of health and fitness.
8. Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, administrators, and the community to support achievement and promote the importance of physical education and health.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university;
2. Valid NJ CE, CEAS, or Standard Teacher Certification;
3. NJ Criminal History;
4. Work authorization in the U.S.;
5. Tuberculosis Test;
6. Experience is a plus.
