NCA is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic PE assistant to join our PE Team. The PE asst. would support the PE Teachers in implementing the PE curriculum and engaging students. They would work under the supervision of PE teachers and assist with supervising, observing and instructing students during PE class and report progress regarding student performance and behavior.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Supporting the teacher.
2. Assisting with setting up equipment, distributing and collecting equipment, and taking class attendance.
3. Supervising students.
4. Monitoring students' behavior and safety, and applying discipline procedures as needed.
5. Helping students.
6. Assisting students with assignments, exercises, and drills, and providing guidance and support.
7. Promoting good habits.
8. Encouraging students to develop good sportsmanship and courtesy, and promoting good health.
9. Assisting with events.
10. Helping to organize and run school events, such as sports days.
11. Demonstrating stewardship.
12. Using school resources wisely, and teaching students to do the same.
13. Building community.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Knowledge of child cognitive development and different learning styles.
2. Ability and willingness to be coached.
3. Ability to collaborate with colleagues, administrators, parents and community.
