Job Overview
As a Physical Therapist, you'll design and deliver individualized treatment plans to help patients of all ages regain strength, mobility, and independence. You’ll work closely with the care team, supervise support staff and students, and take an active role in performance improvement and professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients and develop treatment plans based on individual needs and goals.
- Deliver therapy services, monitor progress, and adjust care as needed.
- Educate patients and families on home programs and recovery strategies.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to coordinate care.
- Document evaluations, progress, and discharge plans in a timely manner.
- Maintain a safe, organized treatment space and monitor equipment/supplies.
- Participate in departmental initiatives, including quality improvement and compliance activities.
- Stay current in clinical knowledge and actively contribute to professional development.
Requirements:
- Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
- Missouri Physical Therapy license.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and physically assist patients.
- Proficient in teaching and demonstrating locomotor and gross motor skills.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
