Job Overview
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Instruct student-athletes in the rules, fundamentals, and team concepts of Soccer. Provide team supervision at practices and competitions both on and off campus.
- Develop and implement practices and competitions to provide a positive and competitive experience for players.
- Manage a Fall and Spring season of approximately 6-8 weeks in length each semester.
- Establish team rules and protocols and implement and enforce appropriately.
- Maintain a roster that is as inclusive as possible without sacrificing the quality of the program or safety of the team members.
- Build a network of college club programs and athletic contests that are an appropriate match for our team to compete against.
- Inventory and monitor equipment and facility to ensure it is safe and maintained in its proper state.
- Meet regularly with the Director of Recreation to evaluate roster, budget and schedule.
- Monitor your Salve Regina University email account and respond to inquiries from prospective students in a timely manner. On occasion, represent the university and team at recruitment related events.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A passion for the university's work in creating a diverse and inclusive community is expected.
- Must be a self-starter and problem solver.
- Must have the ability to work independently.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to provide constructive feedback.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Driver's license.
- CPR/First Aid certification (required prior to first practice).
