ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Instruct student-athletes in the rules, fundamentals, and team concepts of Soccer. Provide team supervision at practices and competitions both on and off campus.
2. Develop and implement practices and competitions to provide a positive and competitive experience for players.
3. Manage a Fall and Spring season of approximately 6-8 weeks in length each semester.
4. Establish team rules and protocols and implement and enforce appropriately.
5. Maintain a roster that is as inclusive as possible without sacrificing the quality of the program or safety of the team members.
6. Build a network of college club programs and athletic contests that are an appropriate match for our team to compete against.
7. Inventory and monitor equipment and facility to ensure it is safe and maintained in its proper state.
8. Meet regularly with the Director of Recreation to evaluate roster, budget and schedule.
9. Monitor your Salve Regina University email account and respond to inquiries from prospective students in a timely manner. On occasion, represent the university and team at recruitment related events.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. A passion for the university's work in creating a diverse and inclusive community is expected.
2. Must be a self-starter and problem solver.
3. Must have the ability to work independently.
4. Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to provide constructive feedback.
5. High School diploma or equivalent.
6. Valid Driver's license.
7. CPR/First Aid certification (required prior to first practice).
