The Hun School of Princeton seeks a dynamic and creative Assistant Varsity Boys’ Soccer Coach who reports to the Head Boys’ Varsity Soccer Coach and Co-Directors of Athletics.

Responsibilities:

1. Serve as the Assistant Varsity Boys’ Soccer Coach grades 9-12; Official season is from the end of August through early November including a preseason
2. Assist the Varsity Boys’ Soccer coach in all aspects of the Boys’ Soccer program including, but not limited to:
3. Developing training programs that include monitoring practices and skill development;
4. Instruction and demonstration of skill sets and techniques necessary for development and athletic achievement in the sport of soccer;
5. Supervision of the proper use of equipment and inventory including uniforms. This includes general upkeep of equipment and timely communication with the Co-Directors;
6. Performing support tasks as needed by the Head Coach or athletic department including attendance or other related records.
7. Ensuring a positive environment aligned with our school’s mission;
8. Effectively communicate and collaborate with co directors, families, and other necessary stakeholders;
9. Promoting the program within the school and in the community to support the admissions process;
10. Assisting players who are interested in the college recruiting process.

Requirements:

1. A Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred;
2. A minimum of 2-5 years coaching experience; at a High School or college is preferred;
3. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to develop strong relationships with students, staff, parents, alumni, and community members;
4. Ability to foster a positive team spirit as well as individual skill improvement;
5. Availability to work a flexible schedule that includes some nights and weekend;
6. First Aid and CPR training - or have the ability to be trained;
7. A love for working with young people and a commitment to a diverse and inclusive
8. community.
