Examples of Duties:
- Responsible for assisting in recruiting, organizing, motivating, and counseling student athletes.
- Responsible for the associated with recruiting: Letters of Intent (signing), Official visits, and Grant in Aid.
- Monitors the student’s class attendance, study hall, grades, commencement ceremonies, and travel.
- Serves as a role model for student-athletes.
- Responsible for discipline, personal appearance, conduct, image, and general behavior of all student athletes recruited and signed for Soccer.
- Supervises staff and students in the department who are assigned to this program. Acts as a consultant and schedules team travel, hotel, meals, etc.
- Evaluates athletes on physical condition and advises them on maintaining maximum physical fitness for participation in athletic competition.
- Serves as an expert in student-athletes and educates them on issues affecting intercollegiate athletics.
- Responsible for assuring that athletes maintain academic eligibility and records of participation are kept and forwarded to the proper agencies and authorities.
Typical Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree is required, but a Master’s degree is preferred.
- High level of experience in the management of intercollegiate soccer.
- Must have demonstrated successful experience in dealing with student-athlete academic-related programs.
