Examples of Duties:

1. Responsible for assisting in recruiting, organizing, motivating, and counseling student athletes.
2. Responsible for the associated with recruiting: Letters of Intent (signing), Official visits, and Grant in Aid.
3. Monitors the student’s class attendance, study hall, grades, commencement ceremonies, and travel.
4. Serves as a role model for student-athletes.
5. Responsible for discipline, personal appearance, conduct, image, and general behavior of all student athletes recruited and signed for Soccer.
6. Supervises staff and students in the department who are assigned to this program. Acts as a consultant and schedules team travel, hotel, meals, etc.
7. Evaluates athletes on physical condition and advises them on maintaining maximum physical fitness for participation in athletic competition.
8. Serves as an expert in student-athletes and educates them on issues affecting intercollegiate athletics.
9. Responsible for assuring that athletes maintain academic eligibility and records of participation are kept and forwarded to the proper agencies and authorities.

Typical Qualifications:

1. A Bachelor’s degree is required, but a Master’s degree is preferred.
2. High level of experience in the management of intercollegiate soccer.
3. Must have demonstrated successful experience in dealing with student-athlete academic-related programs.
