Job Overview

Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver engaging and age-appropriate tennis instruction to recreational students at various skill levels. Curriculum provided by SVB Foundation.
  2. Implement the SVB Foundation's classroom curriculum, emphasizing character building, sportsmanship, and life skills alongside tennis fundamentals.
  3. Create a positive, supportive, and inclusive learning environment for all participants.
  4. Mentor students, serving as a positive role model and fostering their personal development.
  5. Ensure the safety and well-being of all students during coaching sessions.
  6. Manage equipment and maintain an organized coaching area.

Qualifications:

  1. Previous experience playing or coaching tennis, particularly with youth or recreational players.
  2. Strong understanding of basic tennis techniques and rules.
  3. Ability to connect with and motivate young people from diverse backgrounds.
  4. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  5. Patience, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude.
  6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  7. Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to different school locations within the service area.
  8. Must pass a background check.
