Qualifications:

1. Criminal background check conducted pursuant to WV Code §18-5-15c and/or §18A-3-10, as appropriate
2. Meet the qualifications outlined in WVBOE and WVSSAC Policy
3. Perform duties as described in the job description below.

Responsibilities:

1. Cooperates with building principal.
2. Cooperates with athletic director.
3. Develops rapport with coaching staff within the school.
4. Organizes coaching staff if head coach. Assists Head Coach if assistant.
5. Develops a positive relationship with student body.
6. Develops a positive relationship with faculty.
7. Develops a positive relationship with parents and community.
8. Develops a positive relationship with game officials.
9. Develops a positive relationship with news media.
10. Develops a positive relationship with opponents.
11. Employs appropriate conduct during games.
12. Employs appropriate conduct during practices.
13. Attends league, conference, and WVSSAC meetings.
14. Participates in activities that foster professional growth and development.
