QUALIFICTIONS:

1. Meet the qualifications outlined in WVBOE and WVSSAC Policy.
2. Criminal background check per WV Code §18-5-15c.
3. The ability to perform the job duties and responsibilities of the position as contained in the Job Description.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Cooperate with the building principal.
2. Cooperate with athletic director.
3. Develops rapport with coaching staff within the school.
4. Organizes coaching staff if head coach. Assists Head Coach if assistant.
5. Develops a positive relationship with student body.
6. Develops a positive relationship with faculty.
7. Develops a positive relationship with parents and community.
8. Develops a positive relationship with game officials.
9. Develops a positive relationship with news media
10. Develops a positive relationship with opponents.
11. Employs appropriate conduct during games.
12. Employs appropriate conduct during practices.
13. Attend league, conference, and WVSSAC meetings.
14. Participates in activities that foster professional growth and development.
15. Motivates staff and players toward desired goals, and commands respect by example in appearance, manners, behavior, and language.
