Job Overview
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive training program that enhances individual and team skills in volleyball.
- Plan and conduct daily practices, ensuring that all athletes receive appropriate instruction and feedback.
- Organize and manage all aspects of the team, including scheduling games, coordinating transportation, and communicating with parents and school administration.
- Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes teamwork, respect, and sportsmanship.
- Monitor the academic progress of student-athletes and encourage a balance between athletics and academics.
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment during practices and competitions.
- Evaluate player performance and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
- Collaborate with other coaches and school staff to promote the volleyball program and enhance student engagement in athletics.
Requirements:
- Previous coaching experience, preferably at the middle school level or higher, is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of volleyball fundamentals, strategies, and rules.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire young athletes.
- Ability to create and maintain a positive and inclusive team environment.
- First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain before the start of the season.
- Availability to commit to the entire season, including practices, games, and meetings.
- A background check will be required prior to hiring.
- Passion for youth sports and a commitment to the development of student-athletes both on and off the court.
