Job Overview
Responsibilities:
- This role requires a deep understanding of cross country techniques and strategies, as well as the ability to work effectively with athletes and coaches.
- Assist with the daily execution of practices, including instructing athletes in techniques, drills and race strategies.
- Help identify and recruit prospective student-athletes while assisting in the retention of current student-athletes.
- Contribute to the development of practice plans and workouts, including those in the weight room.
- Completion of administrative tasks assigned by the Head Coach.
- Ensure compliance with NCAA, Atlantic East Conference and university policies and procedures.
- Assist Head Coach with recruiting goals as established by the Director of Athletics and Recreation
- Achieve and maintain certification for CPR/AED and First Aid
- Attend department staff meetings and university functions when required.
- Represent university at conference meetings when required.
- Represent the University and its athletics program, with honesty, integrity, and sportsmanship at all times, to various institutional programs and students, parents and families, the general public, alumni and external agencies.
