Durango School District 9-R is hiring an Assistant Football Coach at Escalante Middle School to begin the 2025/2026 school year. This coaching position involves instructing middle school students (grades 7 and 8) in the fundamental skills, strategies, and physical training of football. Practice begins in early August 2025.

Qualifications:

1. Knowledge of effective coaching practices/techniques of football.
2. Ability to build rapport with middle school students.
3. Ability to build individual and team character and confidence.
4. Ability to relate to students of varying athletic abilities.
5. Ability to conduct oneself in an ethical and exemplary manner at all times.
6. Ability to work positively with coaches, staff, and administration.
7. Ability to communicate effectively with student athletes and parents.
