Serve as head coach of an elementary athletic sport following Laramie County School District #1 guidelines; responsible for aspects of the program including specific instructional techniques, curriculum, and philosophy of the sport. Coordinate assistant coaches and volunteers, practices, and other administrative duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

1. Supervise, organize, and lead practice sessions to develop the sport’s skills and sportsmanship with elementary students in the sport. Always ensure student safety and make sure student athletes are equipped for safety.
2. Implement LCSD#1 elementary sport’s curriculum during practices.
3. Supervise assistant coaches and volunteer coaches.
4. Attend and monitor all practices and sporting events.
5. Communicate with athletes and parents regarding practice schedules and events.
6. Conduct administrative responsibilities including inventory and security of equipment and supplies.
7. Follow all Laramie County School District #1 guidelines.

EDUCATION AND RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE:

1. High School diploma or equivalent.
2. Previous coaching or participation experience in the sport preferred.
