Statement of Duties:

1. Promotes by example loyalty, leadership, dedication, integrity, physical fitness, sportsmanship, cooperation and personal responsibility.
2. Focuses on building a strong culture aligned with core values for a Division 1 football program in the highly competitive Merrimack Valley Conference.
3. Implements codes of conduct for coaches, players, and parents of the HHS football team.
4. Ability to work the expected hours to include arriving prior to the student athlete arrival and departure times.
5. Maintains a thorough knowledge of game and competition rules and has the ability to educate all coaches and student-athletes to share in that understanding, including the rules of the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA).
6. Develops appropriate training programs and practice sessions.
7. Ensures the proper cleaning, storage and maintenance of all athletic equipment and uniforms are adhered to in conjunction with the Athletic Director.
8. Travels with student-athletes on the team bus both to and from games.
9. Demonstrates knowledge of strategies and rules of football.

Qualifications:

1. Proven ability to advocate the importance of education and school community.
2. Successful previous experience as a football player or coach.
3. Football coaching experience - preferred.
4. Valid Driver’s License - required.
5. First Aid/CPR - required.
6. MIAA Coaches Certification - preferred.
