Job Overview

The Athletics Department is dedicated to excellence in collegiate sports, building a modern model of intercollegiate athletics fostering a culture of integrity, innovation, and student-athlete success.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Implementation of training programs for field, cross country, and/or events.
  2. Recruiting both women and men’s student-athletes, including evaluating and communicating with recruits.
  3. Assist in arranging campus and home visits.
  4. Work with Compliance office.
  5. Coaching student-athletes at meets.
  6. Academic monitoring of student-athletes.
  7. Administrative duties.
  8. Home Meet Management duties.
  9. Assisting with Team Travel.
  10. Adhere to department or unit budget.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  1. Complete knowledge of NCAA rules pertaining to recruitment & eligibility.
  2. Commitment to academic and athletic success.
  3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  4. Ability to multi-task with frequent interruptions.
  5. Dedication and motivation to initiate, lead and support value-added projects.
  6. Meticulous attention to detail.
  7. Knowledge of NCAA, Big 12, and University of Arizona rules and compliance.
  8. Self-motivated, results-oriented, and has a positive demeanor.
  9. Demonstrated organizational skills, including the ability to plan, establish priorities and successfully manage multiple priority projects.
  10. Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain positive interpersonal relations.
  11. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all organizational levels, and project a positive, professional attitude.
