QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Current certification or willingness to obtain certification as determined by WIAA, the state, and the district.
2. Previous successful football coaching experience preferred.
3. Substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of football and an interest to examine new theories and procedures.
4. Current first aid/CPR card required.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Teach the fundamentals of football.
2. Teach appreciation of rules and regulations, care of equipment and facilities, fair play, respect for others, and personal safety/hygiene.
3. Reflect enthusiasm for the program and participants in order to make it a worthwhile endeavor for students and parents.
4. Hold necessary practices to prepare players.
5. Follow school, district, and WIAA rules and regulations.
6. Assist with maintaining documentation to fulfill state and district requirements concerning physical examinations, parental consent, and eligibility.
7. Assist with monitoring and ensuring scholastic eligibility of players.
8. Continually update techniques and skills through course work and clinics.
9. Conduct self in an ethical manner during practices and games, model and require discipline and ethical behavior from players.
10. Ability to attend competitions outside of normal practice times.
11. Perform other duties that may be assigned by the head coach and/or athletic director.
