Job Overview
The Bolles School is seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Strength and Conditioning Coach to lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive training program for Upper School student-athletes. This full-time, year-round position plays a vital role in enhancing athletic performance, promoting injury prevention, and fostering lifelong habits of health and fitness.
Essential Functions:
- Design and lead age-appropriate strength and conditioning programs for all athletic teams.
- Develop individualized training plans in collaboration with sport-specific coaches.
- Oversee the safe and effective use of weight room and training facilities.
- Support athletes in injury prevention and post-injury rehabilitation in coordination with athletic trainers.
- Promote proper technique, discipline, and a culture of respect in all training sessions.
- Maintain accurate records of student-athlete performance, participation, and progress.
- Collaborate with athletic staff, school administrators, and healthcare professionals to support student well-being.
- Serve as a role model who upholds the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and sportsmanship.
- Participate in school life, including attendance at games, school events, and professional development.
- Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Certification by a nationally accredited organization (e.g., CSCS, NASM, NSCA, or USAW).
- Current CPR/First Aid/AED certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- Previous experience developing and leading strength and conditioning programs, preferably at the high school or collegiate level.
- Strong communication, leadership, and motivational skills.
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment for student-athletes.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed.
