Job Overview
Georgia Military College is searching for a Strength and Conditioning Coach to fill an opening on its Junior College football staff. Applicant will be responsible for developing and implementing training programs to improve the physical and mental performance of student-athletes.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Program development: Create training plans that are based on scientific principles and designed to improve athletic performance, reduce injuries, and teach life-long fitness skills.
- Program implementation: Design and implement programs for in-season, off-season and pre-season training.
- Program monitoring- Supervise training sessions and evaluate athletes.
- Athlete education: Teach athletes about proper nutrition, rest, recovery, conditioning, resistance training and mobility.
- Athlete relationships: Develop and maintain relationships with athletes
- Collaboration: Work with other coaches, trainers and medical staff.
- Education: Master’s degree in Strength and Conditioning related field.
- Experience: 4 years coaching experience OR comparative time playing at a collegiate/professional level.
- Nationally Certified: CSCS or CSCCA.
- Other preferred certifications: USAW-L1SP.
- Skills: Knowledge of NJCAA and NCAA eligibility rules and procedures.
