If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as an Assistant Coach at Chapman University.As an Assistant Coach, you will play a critical role in supporting our Head Coach and working with our student-athletes to achieve success on and off the field. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual who is dedicated to helping our athletes grow and excel in their sport.To be considered for this position, you must have previous coaching experience, a thorough understanding of the sport, and the ability to effectively communicate and motivate players. Assist the Head Coach in developing and implementing effective training programs for student-athletes.
Provide individualized coaching and instruction to help athletes improve their skills and performance.
Foster a positive and supportive team culture that promotes sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth.
Monitor and track the academic progress and well-being of student-athletes, and provide support and resources as needed.
Collaborate with other coaches and staff to recruit and retain talented student-athletes who align with the university’s values and goals.
Assist with game preparation, including scouting opponents and developing game strategies.
Conduct team meetings and communicate important information to student-athletes in a clear and effective manner.
Serve as a role model for student-athletes, promoting professionalism, integrity, and ethical behavior.
Adhere to all NCAA, conference, and university rules and regulations.
Participate in professional development opportunities to continuously improve coaching skills and stay updated on industry standards.
Work closely with the athletic department to ensure compliance with all policies and procedures.
Represent the university and the athletic department at community events and functions.
Maintain a safe and organized practice and game environment.
Serve as a liaison between the coaching staff, student-athletes, and their families.
Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach or athletic department.
