About the position
The Assistant Football Coach will assist the Head Football Coach in directing the intercollegiate football program in keeping with its traditions and policies established by the University and Department of Athletics, and the rules and regulations of the NCAA and the Southeastern Conference. The Coach shall have the duty and responsibility for the planning, supervision, and coordination of assigned areas of the intercollegiate football program, and for assisting the Head Football Coach in achieving the goals and objectives of the football program. Regular, reliable and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
Responsibilities
• Assist the Head Football Coach in directing the intercollegiate football program
• Planning, supervision, and coordination of assigned areas of the intercollegiate football program
• Assisting the Head Football Coach in achieving the goals and objectives of the football program
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education
• Previous coaching experience
• Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
• Ability to work nights and weekends
