Position Summary
Reporting to the Head Football Coach, the Assistant Coach supports the coaching, teaching, organization, and planning of all practices and games.

This position requires frequent travel as well as evening and weekend hours.

Essential Functions
Assists in the coaching, teaching, organization, and planning of all practices and games.

Acts as a positional coach for the offensive line.

Assists the Head Coach in the player instruction and skill development of student-athletes.

Evaluates, identifies, and recruits quality student-athletes within a selected region of the country in compliance with University, Patriot League, and NCAA policies.

Acts as an administrative liaison to selected departments on campus.

Is responsible for administrative functions as assigned.

Complies with all NCAA, Patriot League, and University rules and regulations.

Management Responsibilities: Not responsible for supervision or oversight of others.

Additional Functions
Attends fundraising and community service events upon request to support the program.

Operates University-owned or leased vehicles to transport students, staff, and/or equipment in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and insurance requirements.

Required Qualifications: Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 1 year of experience as a coach or staff member in an NCAA program, preferably at the FCS or FBS level, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Qualifications: Knowledge and Skills
Knowledge and understanding of NCAA rules and regulations.

Demonstrated organizational skills with the proven ability to manage responsibilities independently and effectively.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Valid Driver’s License.

Preferred Qualifications
Coaching experience in an NCAA program.

Minimum Starting Salary: $51,750
Maximum Starting Salary: $51,750
Note: Salary is commensurate with qualifications, experience, and skills.
