Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach – 1st Assistant

The Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach- 1st Assistant is responsible for assisting Head Men’s Basketball Coach in all phases of building and maintaining a successful men’s basketball program. This is a part-time seasonal position.

*This position coaches the Gloucester Campus Roadrunners*

Recruitment of potential student-athletesPractice preparationIn and out-of season trainingGame/match day managementRetention of quality student-athletesEnsure the success and safety of student athletes on and off the fieldAdherence to all NJCAA, Region 19, RCGC and Athletic Department rules and regulationsAssist the Head Coach with fundraising and development of alumni and community relationsAbility to be a team player within the Athletics Department and the CollegeOther duties as assigned by the Head Coach and Executive Director of AthleticsMinimum Qualifications

Past playing and/or coaching experience in the sport of basketball is required.Associate degree requiredValid driver’s license, which is currently in good standingAbility to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidaysPossess the ability to work well and communicate effectively with prospective and current students, staff, faculty, administration, colleagues, and community partnersSupplemental InformationCOVID-19 vaccination is a requirement for all positions at Rowan College of South Jersey.
