Albright College is seeking a dynamic and motivated Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach to support all aspects of a competitive NCAA Division III program. This is a full-time position reporting directly to the Head Coach and plays a key role in the daily operations, player development, recruiting, and overall success of the program.

Primary Responsibilities

Assist the Head Coach with daily on-court coaching, including practice planning, skill instruction, and game executionContribute to building a competitive, inclusive, and high-accountability team cultureIdentify, evaluate, and recruit prospective student-athletes through on-campus and off-campus recruiting effortsCoordinate recruiting communications, manage databases, and organize campus visits Perform film breakdown and scouting report preparation (video and written) for opponents and team developmentSupport individual player development, including skill work and positional trainingOversee and monitor student-athlete academic progress, including study hall coordinationAssist with program fundraising initiatives and alumni engagement effortsHelp plan and execute summer camps and clinicsManage and maintain team social media platforms in alignment with athletic department standardsPerform additional duties as assigned by the Head CoachPreferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferredPrevious collegiate playing and/or coaching experience, preferably at the NCAA levelDemonstrated ability to recruit and evaluate talent, with a strong understanding of the Division III recruiting landscapeStrong commitment to player development, with the ability to teach and develop skills on the floorExperience with film breakdown and scouting software (e.g., Front Rush, Hudl, Synergy)Proven ability to build authentic relationships with student-athletes, staff, and campus partnersHigh level of organization, communication, and attention to detailAbility to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentUnderstanding of and commitment to supporting student-athlete academic successExperience coordinating or working basketball camps and clinicsWillingness to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and travelDemonstrates energy, accountability, and professionalism consistent with a competitive program cultureThe ideal candidate is a relationship-driven, high-energy coach who values accountability, takes pride in daily development, and is committed to building a positive and competitive team culture.
