Athletic DirectorWorks with the Principal to ensure implementation of a Catholic philosophy within the schoolSupervises all athletic and other extracurricular interscholastic activitiesDirectly supervises the athletic coachesModels and promotes Catholic virtues in word and actionFunctional ResponsibilitiesWorks with principal on advertising, recruitment and hiring of athletic and activities staffCommunicates and evaluates athletic staffOversees mandatory parents meetings regarding athleticsSupervises athletic eventsServes as liaison to Kansas State High School Activities Association and Greater Wichita Athletic LeagueServes as liaison to KMCPO-Activities BoardServes as liaison to the Catholic School ActivitiesSchedules use of the athletic facilitiesCoordinates use of athletic facilitiesPrepares and monitors athletic budgetMonitors academic standing eligibility of student participants in athletics and activitiesCoordinates transportation for athletics and activitiesCommunicates effectively with students, faculty, staff, parents and other patronsAssists with administrative duties when necessaryAssists with general supervision of studentsPerforms other duties as assignedPosition Requirements Knowledgeable and supportive of the teachings of the Catholic Church and its practices.Ability to perform required dutiesGood organizational and communication skills.Ability to work effectively and efficiently with all constituents.Ability to use logical reasoning skills to handle issues.Physical Demands / Work EnvironmentThe physical demands described here are those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
