Key Responsibilities:
Coaching & Player Development:
• Plan and conduct effective team practices focused on bowling fundamentals, technique, and strategy.
• Teach proper bowling form, release, approach, and lane adjustments.
• Analyze player performance and provide individualized coaching to improve skills.
• Develop competitive strategies for matches and tournaments.
• Foster a team culture that emphasizes sportsmanship, discipline, and teamwork.
Program Administration:
• Organize and manage team schedules, including practices, matches, and tournaments.
• Ensure compliance with NYSPHSAA (New York State Public High School Athletic Association) and school athletic policies.
• Maintain and manage team equipment, uniforms, and bowling balls.
• Assist with transportation logistics for matches and tournaments.
• Promote student participation and recruit new athletes for the program.
Communication & Leadership:
• Serve as a positive role model and mentor for student-athletes.
• Communicate effectively with players, parents, school administration, and the Athletic Director.
• Monitor student-athletes’ academic progress and encourage academic success.
• Engage in fundraising efforts and community outreach to support the program.
Qualifications:
• Must meet New York State coaching certification requirements, including First Aid, CPR, and Concussion Management training.
